Jacob's Update

This is Jacob's Tasmanian Devil habitat that he made to go with his report. His report won't be sent home until the end of the school year for some reason though.
Here is Jacob's 2010 Pinewood Derby car! I can't get this picture to load right--it keeps loading upside down, but you get the idea. It says Speed on it. Super cool! He did really well with it.



In April Tyler and Jacob performed in their first Music Festival. They memorized 2 pieces of music and played them for a judge. The got written feed back and a score out of a 100. Jacob did excellent! 98/100! He was so nervous, but it didn't end up being nearly as bad as he thought! If they keep doing festivals they can earn enough points to get prizes. They're pretty excited about that.

Jacob had a sudden desire one day to put duct tape on his face and make a beard and mustache. Apparently he thought the facial hair just wouldn't be complete without an amazing outfit to go with it! Ha, ha! Life just wouldn't be the same without Jacob! He is so fun!

Jacob has taken 3 BRUTAL state tests this last month and has gotten top scores on all of them!! Way to go! They literally take hours to do. Several of them he had to continue even after lunch because they were so long. Yuck.

Jacob had an assignment at school this last week to write a fairy tale for Mother's Day. They were supposed to write their rough draft, then copy it onto nice paper and illustrate it and have it done by Friday. Well, you know Jacob. He doesn't do anything half way. He spent hours on it this week and is currently on page 12 with at least 6 more to go! His fairy tale ended up being a novel! He's got such a good imagination. He won't let me read it until it's done, but I'm pretty excited! He's an amazing artist and a great writer, so this is bound to be a classic!
