Michael was invited to his first birthday party on Friday! I went with him and wow! Talk about 3 year old heaven! It was a "dress up" party--they could dress up as whatever they wanted. Michael was sooo excited about that but the hardest part was picking a costume--pirate, cowboy, Superman, Harry Potter....the choices were endless. Every time I talked to him he wanted something different. At the last minute he chose--Jedi Knight. Sigh. It was made for Jacob when he was 7, so it took quite a few safety pins to make it work for a 3 year old, but he was pretty cute.
We went to the fire station and they actually drove the kids around the parking lot in the fire truck!!! Wow! They thought that was the coolest thing ever. They got to spray the fire hose too. (PS The girl in the red dress is Ester--the girl Michael tells us nearly every day that he is going to "mawy in the Weksburg temple after my misson".
Then they took the kids inside an ambulance (below) and let them try on the firefighters clothes.
